ALTA member airlines – including Brazil domestic traffic – carried 17.1 million passengers in July, down 1.29% – or 330,000 fewer passengers – from the previous year (see table 2). Traffic (RPK) grew 3.7% and capacity (ASK) increased 0.9%, bringing the load factor up to 85.5%, 2.3 percentage points higher than in July 2015. Freight ton kilometers decreased 5.1% in July 2016 as compared with the same month of the previous year, reaching 368 million FTKs.

Traffic to/from Latin America & Caribbean
ALTA member airlines carried 2 million passengers to and from Latin America and the Caribbean in July, up 5.6% from the previous year (see table 3). Traffic (RPK) grew 7.4% and capacity (ASK) increased 4.2%, bringing the load factor to 89%, equivalent to 2.6 percentage points higher than in July 2015.
Reporting airlines: Aerolíneas Argentinas (includes Austral), Aeromar, Aeromexico, Aeromexico Connect, Avianca, Copa Airlines, Copa Airlines Colombia, GOL, InselAir, LATAM Airlines Group, and Volaris.
