Allied Aviation joins ALTA as affiliate member
Panama, February 7, 2020 – The Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) is pleased to welcome a new affiliate member: Allied Aviation, a major U.S. fueling services provider to the commercial aviation industry with active presence in Latin America.
Allied Aviation, independently owned and operated, provides tank farm management services, equipment maintenance, into-plane fueling, fixed base operations, ground services and infrastructure development at 26 major airports in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Ecuador and Colombia.
Luis Felipe de Oliveira, ALTA’s Executive Director & CEO expressed: “Allied Aviation is a strategic partner for the region, supplying fuel for approximately 1.9 million commercial flights per year in North America, the Caribbean and South America. Fuel supply is an extremely critical issue for operational performance, an important cost item within the airlines’ cost structure and a key opportunity to reduce the carbon footprint of our operations. Allied Aviation has been awarded in three times with the Silver Nozzle for Fueling Excellence by the National Petroleum Management Association for its operations at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR).
Allied Aviatio’s operation in Charleston South Carolina (CHS) has been recognized as Supplier of the Year in the “Support and Services” category by the Boeing Company. Allied Aviation was one of 13 companies honored at an award ceremony in Los Angeles on May 8th, 2019 for distinguished performance in working with Boeing.
This year’s recipients represent an elite group among more than 12,000 active Boeing suppliers around the world. This selection was based on stringent performance criteria for quality, performance, cost, environmental initiatives, customer service and technical expertise.
