ALTA participated in CAPA’s Aeropolitical and Regulatory Aviation Summit in Qatar
ALTA’s legal director, Gonzalo Yelpo, participated in the Aeropolitical and Regulatory Aviation Summit organized by CAPA and held in Doha, Qatar, on February 5 and 6.
Yelpo participated in the panel “Consolidation and Change in Aviation sector: Will economic forces and pressures drive aviation policy changes?”, which was composed of IAG CEO Willie Walsh, Deputy Director General of Civil Aviation of Turkey Haydar Yalçin and Director of International Aviation of the U.S. Department of Transportation Brian Hedberg.
The panel, moderated by Jim Callaghan, partner of Croon-Callaghan, provided the space to discuss changes in market players and their impact on users, the regulators’ role, ownership rules, competition and restructuring, and changes in cooperation models.
