Technical Purchasing Committee

ALTA´s CCMA (Comité de Compradores de Material Aeronáutico or the Aeronautical Material Procurement Committee), established more than 50 years ago, is the oldest commercial aviation committee in the Latin America and Caribbean region.

The CCMA’s main objective is to study, plan and exchange methods and systems among its members for the integrated administration of aeronautical materials in order to expedite their delivery and improve procurement processes with manufacturers and vendors. ALTA’s CCMA holds two meetings per year, including the annual CCMA meeting in May, which is the largest interactive conference for the Latin America and Caribbean aviation industry.

Since 2005, ALTA has been instrumental in successfully coordinating this important three-day industry event, which brings together airline purchasers and suppliers with a combined purchasing power of hundreds of millions, for a series of networking activities and thousands of one-on-one mini-meetings. For the first time, this year the CCMA is joining forces with ALTA’s MRO Conference, the region’s premier event for the commercial air transport maintenance, repair and overhaul industries, for an all-in-one conference.
