Safety & Operations
Safety is OUR priority number one. The committee analyzes actions and procedures that may be adopted to improve safety in the Latin American and Caribbean region. The committee shares information and experiences to improve operational efficiencies. From the financial point of view, and jointly with ICAO and IATA, this committee studies new procedures and systems, such as more direct navigation routes to reduce flight times thus obtaining operational savings. In the Security area, the main objective is to gather ALTA airlines security officers to help them in individual and common problems in that area, sharing best practices, proven and successful techniques, and in general, strategies concerning security. The group also works together to address collective issues in a unified and consistent manner with all stakeholders. The group meets periodically with security representatives to deal with issues of common interest or current industry affairs of this area in particular.
